When Belle Dumps Gaston[]
The 1991 Film[]
Gaston belives he is superior to all. So, he wants to marry the most beautiful girl in the world (or at least in the town).
And Gaston knows exactly who that girl is.
He goes to Belle's house and tells her that he wants to marry her. Belle refuses. Gaston walks away while a group of pretty girls who really like Gaston try to attract his attention.
When Gaston leaves, Belle ties a washcloth on her head and imagines what life would be like if she were Gaton's wife. Then she leaves the town and breaks into song.
The 2017 Film[]
Gaston believes that he is the most handsome man in the town. He also believes that Belle is the most beautiful girl in town.
So, he goes to Belle's house and tells her that he wants to marry her. Belle refuses. Gaston walks away, conjuring the perfect plan to trick Belle into marrying him.
When Gaston leaves, Belle ties a washcloth on her head and imagines what life would be like if she were Gaston's wife. Then she goes into her house via the back door.
