Theory[]
Some fans of the Bratz TV series and movies believe that Burdine Maxwell actually represents Barbie. This theory as far we know, hasn't been confirmed the creator yet, but its' very probable considering the amount of amount of evidence stacked up against it.
Evidence for This Theory[]
At first, it seems like Burdine is just another made up antagonist for the Bratz. upon closer inspection however, she seems to be a subtle jab at Mattel.
For one, At the time the Bratz TV series and movies came out, Mattel was suing MGA for the creation of Bratz, claiming that they owned the company and Carter Bryant had stolen an idea not rightfully his. Animosity arose from the suing and only got worse when Bratz won the case. At the time Mattel often rivaled with Bratz to be more diverse at they were and usually failed. This might have led them to make the Bratz antagonist Burdine.
According to fans, her personality is similar (or rather a stretch) to Barbie. She is a narcissistic, self centered and believes that only her magazine is the best, much like Mattel seemed to think they're company was better. Pink was her signature color like Barbie, she constantly wore a crown, and had lots of plastic surgery which may have been a jab to how plastic and unrealistic Barbie was to the girl market. And she was also set on always destroying the Bratz and their magazine, just like Mattel was always trying to take away MGA. Even her name had the same initials as Barbie. Barbie Millicent = BM. Burdine Maxwell = BM!
But then who are the Tweevils? One fan suggests that they represent the workers at Mattel who are their for the paycheck but secretly hate their job, much like the tweevils did.
