Vision shot War Machine on purpose[]
Remember when War Machine ordered Vision to shoot Falcon? Remember the look of anger on his face just as the Mind Stone started glowing? And remember when Falcon dodged, and how Vision didn't turn his head in another direction to avoid hitting War Machine, because he wanted to shoot him out of the sky? Why? Because he doesn't like anyone hurting Scarlet Witch, and War Machine hurt her.

Ever wonder why Crossbone's plan to kill himself, Cap, and the surrounding civilians failed? Well, what if it didn't? What if it was always part of Zemo's plan? After all, he clearly seemed unfazed when saw Wanda getting rid of the gas, as if he knew she was going to be there. He somehow knew she would try to stop the explosion. This may not have been part of Zemo's plan, but Crossbones may have found out about it and decided to give Zemo the chance to do so.
