This theory is a dark one. Unused source code found in Gacha Life suggests that in a specific beta version of the game, Caleb, a preset you encounter in Life Mode, would've said the following. "My parents hate and abuse me... Help me... Please..." and after restarting the game after seeing this unused text, Caleb's mother abusing him would've been found. This is however just a still image, so there are alignment mistakes that are obvious. [[File:DarksecretGL.PNG|thumb|324x324px] Trying to interact with Caleb's mom would cause the game to crash with the error code, "49 20 77 61 73 20 61 62 75 73 65 64 20 62 79 20 6d 79 20 6d 6f 74 68 65 72" which is actually hex code which translates to "I was abused by my mother". In the Japanese version of the game, the error code is "e6 af 8d e3 81 8b e3 82 89 e5 8a a9 e3 81 91 e3 81 a6" which translates to "母から助けて" which translates to English as "Save me from my mother". In the French version of the game, the game enters region lock mode. You can simply exit this region lock by restarting the game. This screen has text that says "Cette copie de Gacha Life n'est pas prise en charge dans votre région. Veuillez télécharger la version française du jeu." which means "This copy of Gacha Life isn't supported in your region. Please download the French version of the game." in English. This French region lock screen also has an error code which is a normal error code which is not a cryptic message (French: "Code d'erreur: GL-07" English: "Error Code: GL-07"). How the Gacha games' error codes works as the following. The two sections of the common Gacha game error code are split by a hyphen. The first section is "G{x}" depending on the game your playing (Meme Gacha, Pocket Chibi, Rate My OC, etc. are not included), the {x} value will be different.
