Before she controls the SP//DR, Dr. Curt Conners and Dr. Naoko Yamada Jones are both married. Just after their daughter Peni was born and Curt loses his hand, She and her daughter saw Curt transform into the Lizard by an experiment gone HORRIBLY wrong. Much to their dismay, they both divorced and Curt was forced to give his daughter away to the Parker family. Before her father invents the SP//DR, he has had to protect his adopted daughter from the Lizard's grasp ever-since Curt's first tragic experiment that made him transform into the Lizard so her biological father will think about what he done. So this is why the lizard made a cameo appearance in the movie.
